1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of professoai.com and the Professo live AI-tutoring service (the “Service”), operated by Professo (“Professo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. The Service

Professo provides an AI “professor” that teaches interactively on a virtual whiteboard, adapting to you in real time. The Service uses artificial intelligence, which can be inaccurate or incomplete. Content generated by the Service is for educational purposes only and is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. Always verify important information independently.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others’ rights.
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or that violates others’ privacy.
• Resell, scrape, or misuse the Service or overload our infrastructure.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (such as questions and uploaded files). You grant us a limited license to use, store, and process that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to share it.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Professo and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights in the Service.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including authentication, cloud hosting, and AI model providers). Your use of those integrations may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

8. Fees

Some features may be offered for free and others as paid plans. If we introduce paid features, the applicable pricing and payment terms will be presented to you before you are charged.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Professo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Professo operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
